The opportunity:ORBCOMM is looking for a

Business Development Representative

that will focus on managing sales of the ORBCOMM product lines in the LATAM region. This includes direct sales development and indirect sales through this organization.

The key tasks & responsibilities for this position are to:Manage a regional customer base in the LATAM Sales organization. In close collaboration with the Sales team and its leadershipDefine and drive implementation plans for the sales strategies to grow the businessRecommend improvement actionsApproach and develop leads into customers, negotiating and contracting deals in your regionSupport to establish the brand image of ORBCOMM in the LATAM market (incl: participating events)Contribute to defining, improving, and enhancing the telematics product services portfolio certificationMake an active contribution to increase ORBCOMM brand awareness in LATAMWill increase the market position of ORBCOMM in a strategic manner to further develop business in his/her territory, but not just limited to the assigned customersProvide analysis, comparing ORBCOMM to competing companiesAcquire commitment with existing customers of ORBCOMM and to deliver new customers, while you can perform the contract negotiations on behalf of ORBCOMM, with the caveat that ORBCOMM must approve the result of the negotiations prior to signing the contractCoordinate/participate and conduct marketing campaigns and public relations eventsPresent corporate presentations to customersProvide training for the customersOther tasks that fit in the pursuit of the business development for ORBCOMM, at the discretion of the parties

Job requirements:Minimum 5 years experience in telecommunications, technology, or information industries/IoT solutionsMinimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field of study requiredAbility to demonstrate a track record of success in salesAbility to work under pressure in a dynamic environmentExperience in:Telecommunications, technology, or information industries and/orExperience in Transport Management or ERP solutionKnowledge about:Transportation & Logistics market and/orCold-Chain knowledge and/orORBCOMM product knowledgeFluent in English (written and spoken)Native or near-native in Portuguese, Spanish, and English (written and spoken)Multiple languages are a plusTravel up to 70% of the timeAble to work in a multicultural environmentAble to work with cross-functional teamsFlexible attitudePossibility for Home Office
