Overview

Mid-career Integrated Modular Avionics Engineer at Boeing . Based in São José dos Campos , Brazil. The role supports the Global Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) team, developing and certifying transport category airplanes and integrating avionics systems and components from concept through certification, delivery, and in-service support.

Responsibilities
  • Leads work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Analyzes and translates requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
  • Leads work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Researches technology advances for potential application to company business needs. Makes recommendations for technology investments.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering.
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications in English.
  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the engineering and agronomy and regional council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia – CREA).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Experience as a system engineer throughout the systems development process, including requirements capture, design, decomposition, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Experience in requirement management tools (DOORS or similar).
  • Experience with Integrated Modular Avionics and related standards like DO-297 and ARP 4754, ARP 4761.
  • Experience with commercial airplane certification, audits and design review activities.
  • Experience with Model Based Engineering Design/Analysis using advanced Modelling & Simulation and Tools & Process development.

  • Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
  • This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil.
  • Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
