Job Description We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Cyber Security Analyst. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for investigating and responding to security events. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement effective security measures to protect sensitive data. This includes analyzing data movement, enforcing classification standards, and coordinating remediation efforts. Experience in cybersecurity or information technology within a SOC or incident response role is essential. You should have hands-on experience working with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies and processes. Familiarity with common data classification categories (e.g., PII, PCI, PHI) and their security and compliance implications is required. Required Skills To be successful in this role, you will need: Experience using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for monitoring, triage, and analysis. Exposure to endpoint protection solutions, including antivirus, EDR, or other detection and response technologies. Ability to analyze event logs and alerts, correlate them with DLP activity, and determine the appropriate remediation. Basic knowledge of adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), Cyber Kill Chain, and MITRE ATT&CK framework. Fluent English skills with strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting incidents and working with stakeholders during investigations. Ability to maintain integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive data. Highly organized, efficient, and capable of managing multiple incidents or tasks with minimal supervision. Preferred Skills The following skills are highly desirable: Experience tuning or refining DLP policies and rules to improve accuracy and reduce false positives. Familiarity with cloud security controls and data governance concepts (e.g., encryption, access control, retention). Exposure to cybersecurity threat hunting techniques and proactive analysis methods. Basic scripting or automation knowledge (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or similar) to support repetitive triage tasks. Education/Certifications/Training Required The ideal candidate will possess: Basic industry certification, such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or GIAC. Associates' or Bachelors' Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security Assurance, or equivalent experience.
