
Account Manager, Reuters, Latin America

The** Account Manager** will be expected to grow the existing book of business, as well as prospecting and closing new business in Latin America - South region.
**About The Role**
In this opportunity as **Account Manager**, you will:
- Manage and grow revenue and market share at designated accounts to maximize customer satisfaction and achieve company's strategic objectives;
- Develop and execute account strategies team to deliver stronger, more relevant value propositions;
- Consistently achieve monthly, quarterly, annual sales objectives through securing new business and contract renewals in order to meet and exceed targets;
- Cultivate customer relationships and ensures effective service delivery to accounts;
- Provide sales performance data and information to support management decision-making via Salesforce;
- Prepare, present and negotiate Agency solutions and proposals in order to acquire new contracts;
- Exercise thought leadership to demonstrate an understanding of the customers business strategies by presenting the compelling value proposition of Reuters Media;
- Develop a contact strategy with Reuters Editorial and key influencers;
- Advocate on behalf of the customer with the Reuters Media account team and relevant cross functional departments;
- Serve as the primary contact for all client needs, requirements and expectations;
- Provide customer product training as necessary;
- Grow sales in collaboration with account management and utilizing specialist knowledge to deliver gross sales in Latin America: Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Peru;
- Major emphasis on opening up new business, both within existing accounts and new customers;
**About You**
You're a fit for the role of **Account Manager **if your background includes:
- Experience in a position with sales responsibility (ideally within a media company, a competitor or a news agency)
- Demonstrated track record of success in sales and exposure to content licensing would be a distinct advantage
- Knowledge of the media business and Latin America market; experience working with broadcasters, publishers, online aggregators and/or wireless providers would be a plus
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills; ability to deliver presentations and communicate at all levels within an organization
- Good organizational and time management skills
- BS/BA or equivalent work experience
- Proven ability to identity, develop and articulate a complex proposition through consultative selling
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop and execute a sales plan by using a variety of technology with a high level of proficiency
- Problem solving - ability to understand, articulate, structure and solve client needs
