Location & Remote Work

Our technology team operates under a "remote-first" model, which means we work from home and can live anywhere in Brazil. We also offer the option of working from our São Paulo offices or partner coworking spaces, up to twice a week.

About the Area

Senior Software Engineer responsibilities at QuintoAndar:

• Develop independent (micro-)services that address specific solutions
• Own the entire lifecycle of their code
• Contribute to the broader product team by sharing inputs and code
• Improve development tools, test coverage, and code structure
• Participate in software design discussions and create documentation
• Create scalable, maintainable, user-driven solutions using technologies such as Java, SQL, MongoDB, React, and other listed stacks; learning space provided
• Help organize software architecture to harmonize service orchestration

Requirements

• Proficiency in at least one programming language and relational databases
• Experience using RESTful APIs
• Desire to learn and deliver real impact through high-quality, data-driven software; value work-life balance
• Fluency in Portuguese; knowledge of English; code, documentation, and tools are often in English
• Excellent English skills (verbal and written) are mandatory

Nice-to-have

• Knowledge of computer theory, optimization of algorithms and distributed systems
• Experience with scalable client-server mobile applications
• Experience with cloud service platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
• Understanding of modern CD/CI practices
• Knowledge of containers and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Experience testing and tuning scalability
• Proactive, continuing service improvement mindset
