This role leads a Medicare Sales Field team that sells individual health plan products and educates beneficiaries, with additional lines including Life, Annuity, Indemnity, Dental, Vision, and Prescription plans.

This field-based position is located in the Nashville, Chattanooga, and Knoxville, TN area. You must reside in Nashville, TN area or be willing to relocate to the area.

Responsibilities
  • Coach, mentor, educate, motivate and train a team of sales individuals.
  • Understand the market, resolve operational problems, and provide creative sales solutions while following CMS guidelines.
  • Cultivate, maintain, and build relationships with Humana's customers, internal and external partners, and the community through telephonic, virtual, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Develop marketing budgets and identify branding opportunities.
Required Qualifications
  • Must reside in the Nashville, TN area or be willing to relocate
  • Active Health & Life Insurance Licenses
  • 2 or more years of sales leadership experience
  • 6 or more years of experience working in the insurance industry
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Ability to lead a team of sales associates and train them in successful sales techniques, educational presentation skills, utilizing technology tools, and building relationships with communities and medical providers
  • Strong aptitude for technology with proficiency in MS Office products, various CRM platforms, and iPhone app capabilities
  • Must be a strong leader and strong producer
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt and overcome when necessary
  • Community Engagement/Grassroots experience in marketing Medicare plans in the community
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
  • This role is part of Humana's Driver safety program and requires a valid state driver\'s license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Prior experience working in Medicare and the health solutions industry
  • Engaged with the community through service, organizations, activities and volunteerism
  • Project management background or certification a plus
  • Bilingual with the ability to speak, read and write without limitations or assistance

Travel & Work Details

Travel: Remote position with occasional travel to Humana\'s offices for training or meetings may be required.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Pay Range: $77,000 - $105,100 per year ; compensation may vary based on location and qualifications; eligible for a commission incentive plan.
