We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team (known internally as a Senior IT Project Manager). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of project management principles and exceptional communication skills. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, data science, strategy, and business stakeholders to create the project plan, monitor progress, and highlight blockers, to ensure successful delivery of innovative AI and GenAI solutions. The Senior Project Manager should be independent, detail oriented, collaborative, and able to adapt to changing use case needs.

Job Description

The Senior Project Manager ensures that use cases are completed on time. This associate will need to be delivery-focused.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Senior Project Manager designs, communicates, and implements an operational plan for completing the project
  • Monitors progress and performance against the project plan
  • Takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays
  • Develops project schedules, budgets and forecasts
  • Conducts meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project
  • Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • Excellent organization and planning skills; demonstrated ability to implement projects and meet deadlines
  • Thorough understanding of agile methodologies, values, practices and patterns
  • Advanced facilitation, influencing, and relationship management skills
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in large, matrixed organizations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Agile Tracking tools, such as Azure Dev Ops (ADO) or Jira
  • Experience with project management tools such as MS Planner / Project
  • PMP or equivalent certification
  • 2+ years of experience in AI, Generative AI, data science, ML engineering, software engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare

At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.

Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.

Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Travel : While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$104,000 - $143,000 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
