The Opportunity: We are looking for an experienced engineer to join the Cybersecurity/IT Engineering team as a full-time Manager of IT. The ideal candidate supports end users, manages endpoints, automates identity and access management, and administers cloud-based IT systems and tools. The role reports to the Director of IT. Responsibilities Be the first line of support for employees, providing outstanding support via channels such as Slack and Jira; work in a predominantly Mac environment. Procure and deliver technology equipment; own the onboarding experience for new employees and the return of equipment for departing employees. Design, test, build, and document programs, policies, and tools; contribute improvements to existing knowledge base. Support and manage SaaS applications including Google Workspace (GSuite), Slack, Jamf Pro/Protect/Connect, Okta, Jira, and related tools. Manage Mac endpoints and mobile device management (MDM/EMM) tooling (e.g., Jamf). Contribute to improvements on identity and access management, including IDP/SSO (GSuite, Okta). Detail solutions, craft help articles, and automate repetitive tasks. Manage, respond to, and resolve critical incidents; prioritize and juggle help desk tickets and project work across sprints using Jira. Set and pursue personal objectives aligned with team and company goals. Qualifications 7+ years in SaaS systems administration (e.g., Jamf Pro, Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, Jira, Netsuite). Ability to create automations using bash, zsh, Python, etc., and to utilize open source tools (Nudge, CIS Benchmark scripts, SplashBuddy, Munki, etc.). Experience integrating SSO into Okta and building workflows; proficient with APIs and system integrations. Experience providing remote support across multiple countries/time zones; familiarity with hardware/shipping and customs. Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts clearly and calmly. Strong troubleshooting skills with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs) and OSI model knowledge; ability to methodically troubleshoot problems. Self-management with the ability to scope projects and work across multiple teams; strong organizational skills. Comfort with ambiguity and decision-making in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; willing to work in a remote environment. Nice-to-haves: familiarity with AWS, GAM, command-line interfaces, Jamf/Okta/Google Workspace certifications.
