
Link Building Specialist

The link building specialist works with our Consulting team with the purpose of building high value links on our clients' websites. This employee should be skilled at using a number of various link building techniques along with securing long-term linking, guest blogging, and co-branding partnerships with external domains. The culmination of these efforts will result in increased keyword rankings and an expanded network for our clients.
Some of the specific tasks this person will accomplish include:
- Broken link identification and reporting.
- Link intersect tool utilization.
- Guest blogging identification and execution.
- Unlinked mention identification.
- Identifying and securing link exchange partners.
He or she also has experience with:
- Search engine optimization.
- SEO tools (Moz, Ahrefs, Semrush).
- Google Analytics.
- Link building.
The Link Building Specialist is self-motivated and works diligently to identify and execute on the best link building opportunities. This person is passionate about tracking down hidden treasures, and watching that work translate into improved keyword rankings that will positively impact our clients' success.
**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**
The focuses of this role are including, but not limited to, assisting the Marketing team in the following areas:
- Finding broken links on relevant websites, identifying a replacement link on a client's property, contacting author or webmaster, and pitching the replacement link.
- Using Link Intersect tools to identify websites that link to our clients' competitors. Discovering opportunities to get links from these websites.
- Developing ongoing relationships with high-value, relevant websites for link exchanges, guest blogging, and co-branded launches.
- Understanding the value of anchor text, Domain Authority, contextual linking, follow vs. no-follow links, PBNs, inbound link profiles.
- Reporting on link building results; successes, failures, specific technique performance rates.

- Successfully identifying high quality links.
- Regularly creating partnerships with high-value websites.
- Creating reports for clients.
- Being able to identify and pivot from weak techniques to stronger methods.
- Innovating new techniques and sharing with the team.
- Joining client calls and presenting strategies and reports.
**SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS**
- Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO).
- Understanding of how links work.
- Familiarity with SEO tools.
- Capability to work with little oversight.
- Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to take web conference calls multiple times per week.
**TIME B**REAKOUT (flexible and planned monthly)**
- 50% link opportunity identification.
- 25% relationship building.
- 15% evaluating/tracking/reporting work.
- 10% client and internal planning meetings.
**REMOTE ROLE**
This is a 100% remote working role, so location is not important. Your immediate supervisor would be based in the US, however you’ll be able to operate day to day in your local time zone, but on occasion be able to adjust your schedule to cover meetings or calls with staff and clients in Australia, the UK, and all US time zones.
As such you must be setup to operate effectively from your own work-space and be comfortable with pure remote / home-based working. Brafton’s core business is heavily remote focused - and was so well before the COVID-19 pandemic, as such the business is extremely agile and well adapted to such working practices.
Remote Link Building Specialists are responsible for providing and maintaining at their own cost and expense their own office facilities apart from the Company’s offices from which to perform the above services, including computer infrastructure, internet connection and any industry-related hardware.
