SAP's Datasphere team is looking for a backend software engineer to help us build out a robust knowledge graph management platform. You will be responsible for end-to-end feature development from requirements, design, and development of software components across global deployments at scale. The primary areas of technology this team works with are Java, TypeScript, Semantic Web, and Kubernetes.
**ROLE INFORMATION**:
- As a backend developer, you will be working with Architects, Product Managers and other developers to deliver key enhancements and features in the SAP Datasphere product.
- Tasks would include design, coding, testing, and quality assurance of complex product features.
- Work closely with Product Managers, Architects, UX Designers, and QA engineers.
- Help build PoCs and research possible technology choices.
- Develop test plans and write unit tests wherever needed.
- Play an integral role in the entire software development lifecycle including participation in design sessions, defining functional requirements, working with development teams, and testing.
- Full stack contributions welcome
- All team members are exposed to DevOps workflows as part of solution delivery.
**EXPERIENCE**:
- At least 1 year of professional experience working with backend software components in Java
- Sound knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as Object-Oriented Design Principles, Data Structures, Algorithms, Database, Operating Systems.
- Enhances skills beyond own core functional focus and works on other tasks for the benefit of the team.
- Knowledge of development processes and product standards.
- Good communication skills.
