Our technology team works on the "remote-first" model, which means we are working from home with the possibility of living anywhere in Brazil. We also have the option of using QuintoAndar's offices in São Paulo and Campinas or using partner coworking spaces, both up to twice a week.

We tackle problems like intelligent search and recommendation systems, enhancing customer experiences with ML (such as automatic ticket routing and our GenAI-powered chatbot), pricing and liquidity models, credit, income, and collection models, and developing a platform that allows us to create and deploy these solutions.

Tech Lead Manager Responsibilities At QuintoAndar

As a Tech Lead Manager (TLM) , you will balance hands-on technical work with managerial responsibilities, having the opportunity to make a significant impact through both technical excellence and strategic leadership.

This role is designed for professionals who are passionate about deep technical challenges and team leadership, allowing you to grow by solving complex problems. You'll drive high-impact projects, mentor and guide team members, and play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction of our products.

On top of being a great engineer, we expect you to

• Lead a small team of Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to build solutions based on AI/ML.
• This position is focused on leading the team developing platform solution for all conversational chatbots at QuintoAndar
• Be a technical reference to the team, including doing hands-on engineering work
• Shaping the technical direction of our products, translating business requirements into solutions
• Discuss business requirements with the Product Manager and other stakeholders

Requirements

What we are looking for:

• Solid understanding of the engineering challenges of deploying machine learning systems to production;
• Solid understanding of systems, software and data engineering best practices;
• Proficiency with cloud-based services;
• Proficiency in Python or another major programming language;
• Someone up-to-date with recent advances in Machine Learning Engineering, and willing to share his/her knowledge with the other members of the Data and AI Chapter;
• Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills;
• Have experience building backend systems, event driven architectures and rest/
• Have experience building solutions with LLMs (RAG, fine-tuning);
• Have experience building AI agents and AI powered applications, familiarity with agentic frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI);
• Experience leading teams and managing careers

You'll stand out if you:

• General understanding of machine learning concepts: regression and classification, clustering, neural networks, feature selection, cross-validation, curse of dimensionality, bias-variance tradeoff, model explainability, etc.;
• Have experience working at fast-growing startups;
• Have track record implementing scalable and durable solutions;
• Have solid experience with Deep Learning
