Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic leader to take charge of operationalizing our Sustainability agenda across Latin America markets. As the Sustainability Commercialization Senior Director, you will lead the execution of key initiatives in the areas of Water, Packaging, and Climate, ensuring we meet and exceed our short- and long-term sustainability goals and commitments. This role involves defining and driving the investment roadmap, displaying franchise leadership, and collaborating seamlessly with bottling partners and cross-functional teams to accelerate progress toward our ambitious sustainability aspirations.

You will be a critical link between global vision and local execution, championing innovative approaches to sustainability and ensuring alignment across all levels of the system (Operating Unit, Zones, and Countries).

What You'll Do for Us

  • Sustainability Moonshot Leadership:
    • Lead the Moonshot process, developing the Operating Unit (OU) business case, and co-developing an investment roadmap through 2035.
    • Influence system decision makers, remove bottlenecks, and spearhead steps to accelerate execution toward long-term sustainability goals.
  • Cross-Functional Team Leadership:
    • Take an agile approach to leading the Moonshot cross-functional team, capitalizing on subject-matter expertise from areas such as Public Affairs, Communication & Sustainability (PACS) SMEs, Technical, Finance, Strategy, and Operations.
    • Foster collaboration and alignment across disciplines to drive success.
  • Strategic and Operational Alignment (Long-Range Plan/Annual Business Plan):
    • Integrate sustainability goals into market-by-market strategic (long-range) and operational (annual) business plans.
    • Prioritize market risks and opportunities in alignment with business objectives, defining clear processes, accountabilities, and metrics.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Scaling Best Practices:
    • Leverage global insights to enable the exchange of information, sharing best practices, and scaling effective solutions across markets for faster, impactful execution.
  • Governance Development:
    • Establish and lead efficient/effective Governance frameworks, ensuring alignment on priorities, investments, and progress tracking across OU, Zone, and Country levels.
    • Facilitate productive collaboration with our bottling partners.
  • Metrics and Reporting Oversight:
    • Serve as the central point for tracking and reporting sustainability progress across all pillars (Water, Packaging, and Climate).
    • Ensure consistent, transparent, and action-oriented reporting of performance metrics.
  • Bottler and Zone Support:
    • Support zones in negotiations with bottlers, business case development, and alignment with local teams to ensure sustainability plans are effectively implemented in every market.
    • Build partnerships to align system-wide resources around shared goals and commitments.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Engineering, Sustainability or Environmental Science. Advanced degrees (MBA, Master's, or equivalent) preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercialization, operations, franchise leadership, and background in financial planning, or strategy-related roles within large, complex organizations.
    • Strong track record of driving initiatives with measurable outcomes by connecting strategic vision to disciplined execution, ideally in a multi-market or franchise business setting.
    • While technical expertise in sustainability is not required, the ideal candidate should possess a basic understanding of sustainability concepts (e.g., climate change, water stewardship, packaging innovations) to ensure effective collaboration and alignment with internal and external subject-matter experts.
    • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, manage competing priorities across multiple teams, and build lasting partnerships internally and externally.
    • Experience working with bottling/franchise models and/or multi-tiered governance structures highly preferred.
    • Functional Skills:
      • Strategic Business Acumen: Deep ability to integrate sustainability goals into broader business objectives while balancing long-term and short-term priorities.
      • Cross-Functional Team Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams, manage ambiguity, and create alignment among varied stakeholders.
      • Executional Excellence: Strong operational mindset with the ability to transform strategy into disciplined execution. Skilled in navigating roadblocks to achieve results.
      • Data Analysis & Reporting: Expertise in using data and insights to inform decision-making and create clarity, ensuring consistent, transparent, and actionable reporting mechanisms.
      • Communication & Advocacy: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and storytelling skills to engage senior leaders, bottling partners, and external stakeholders.
