Responsibilities
The Opportunity
- Develop and Lead strategies to achieve the objectives of service, cost, quality and people, promoting a culture of safety, social responsibility and environmental care with teamwork and organizational strategies to achieve maximum consumer satisfaction, and building the best and more innovative place to work.
- Responsible for planning and management of operational functions for all Snacks and Foods Plants in Brazil, supplying sales within established standards of quality, efficiency and profitability, aiming to contribute to the achievement of AOP in short, medium and long term.
- Strength all Manufacturing Area Organization enabling Company’s growth and acquisitions, optimizing coach process within area managers, and creating a career path that will allow Bench formation, thus contributing to keep manufacturing area as a great place to work within PepsiCo.
- Ensure company growth, through driving, enhancing and generating manufacturing capabilities that allows meeting and exceeding all industry standards and customer requirements. Work closely with the BU´s GM´s on business sustainability plans focus on manufacturing goals and future product innovations.
- Partner with entire multi category BU´s teams to discuss and set timelines for product manufacturing and delivering. Play an active role in senior-level negotiations with client companies and manufacturing partners. Built outstanding talented team capable to lead as PepsiCo Manufacture reference.
- Create and influence new culture of collaboration, Manufacture leadership and innovation mind-set in the Ops Team.
- Align and implement the Manufacturing Capabilities in accordingly with the Operation excellence model.
- Bring plant managers to the same level of technical skills, Leadership Capabilities which means front lin empowerment based in a very advanced and mature continuous improvement process model.
- Align Productivity tools and initiatives to AOP and Strat plans.
Your Impact
- Ensure adequate production level, according to sales orders on quality and direct cost standards, managing production, quality assurance, maintenance, safety and supplying control function.
- Contribute for Company’s results, through monitoring and control the budget of subordinated areas and establishment of procedures for cost reduction.
- Contribute for Company’s profitability through selection of best alternative for material utilization, manufacturing process control and manpower allocation.
- Conduct the Operations department, aligned it to strategic innovation: CAPEX, development of new products and raw materials and investment in people development and technical improvement, thereby requiring development of new commercial and marketing strategies.
- Ensure industrialization of Snacks and Toddy products with level of quality and innovation, competitive cost, within the agreed deadline, managing the factories in order to maintain balance between results, dissemination of best practices, internal benchmarking, cohesion of teams and alignment with the business plan.
- Challenges: alignment of structure operation model for all PepsiCo's plants.
- Implement the Operation New model, based on Avante / Motor strategy.
- Identify and provide the resources, participation and responsibilities and authorities for the development of investment different projects (CAPEX Plan).
Qualifications
Who Are We Looking For?
- First Degree or equivalent in Engineering (Chemical/Process/Electrical/Mechanical preferred)
- Ability to develop winning strategies/plans, Understand functional interfaces, Aligns team for action against key priorities.
- Key skills include project/service management, effective communication and selling, negotiation and influencing skills at all levels within the business and demonstrated thought leadership.
- Ability to work in a constantly changing dynamic and challenging environment e.g. Ability to prioritize, cope with ambiguity and solve previously uncharted problems.
- Ability to explain complex technical issues/solutions to a non-technical audience.
- Team Player, self-starter, self-motivating - able to deal with uncertainty and complexity.
- Cultural sensitivity/flexibility in responding to different cultures.
- Strong communication Skills with Front line and Senior leaders.
- Strong knowledge required in Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations programs.
- 7 years’ experience at management level.
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in leading snack production, extrusion process, fried food and quality control.
- Fluent in English as a must.
- Fluent in Spanish as a must.
- Must be willing to travel.
