Overview

National Individual Consultancy to support organization of Conference on home visiting and family support. Contract: Consultant. Duty Station: Podgorica, Montenegro. Location: Montenegro. Category: Early Childhood Development. For every child, the right to the best start to life.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and logistical support for the preparation, implementation, and follow-up of the conference on home visiting and family support under the supervision of the UNICEF ECD Officer.
  • Draft technical and administrative materials related to the conference in consultation with relevant UNICEF Montenegro staff.
  • Finalize the preliminary list of invitees and disseminate invitations; set up the registration link and prepare final participants lists.
  • Coordinate with UNICEF CO staff to define and support logistical and technical requirements (ECD, Communications, Procurement & Administrative staff).
  • Prepare conference materials (agenda, presentations, participants list, and other relevant material).
  • Draft and support preparation of communication materials (speeches, talking points, social media posts, media advisories, press releases, and a website article) in coordination with the UNICEF Communications team.
  • Prepare participants' kits and manage speakers' travel and participation logistics, including providing translations/interpreters with necessary materials.
  • Ensure venue readiness: technical equipment, seating, banners, information signs, and visibility materials; arrange display area for publications and partner materials; organize conference secretariat room.
  • Manage reception/registration and produce written, audiovisual and image documentation, including an event report and photographs.
  • Participate in meetings related to conference preparation and implementation.
Work Assignment Overview

Deliverables and tentative timelines include invitations dissemination, participant list, conference materials, communications materials, and conference report. Final consultancy report due by 30 November 2025.

Qualifications Education
  • A bachelor university degree in Social Sciences, Communications, or a similar technical field.
Work Experience
  • Good understanding of the ECD technical field and UNICEF programs is an advantage.
  • At least five years of experience organizing national technical consultations/workshops/conferences with at least 100 participants.
  • Experience organizing panel discussions and workshops with LED screens, audio and lighting setup.
  • Proven experience working with governmentDirectorates/Departments/Ministries, NGOs, and CSOs.
  • Prevous work experience with UNICEF or other UN agencies (preferably in event management) is an added advantage.
Language
  • Fluency in Montenegrin and English is required.

  • Ability to work with different stakeholders; tact and discretion; integrity and high ethical standards; sensitivity to cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality, and age considerations.
Payments and Compliance

Payments upon successful delivery: 60% upon submission of conference materials and 40% upon final consultancy report. UNICEF reserves the right to withhold payment for unsatisfactory performance or incomplete outputs. Consultants must complete required online courses and vaccinations as specified. Background checks and other UN policies apply. Travel, accommodation, and per diems follow UN rates where applicable.
