Service contracts, tenders, RFQs, business development for the allocated region, and support to Sea Logistics organization, in accordance with the Asia Trade Strategy in Santiago (Sao MS-TD).
How you create impact- Respond to tenders and RFQs, working with Sao MS-TD, and take responsibility for end-to-end pricing.
- Develop relationships with carriers to achieve the best rates, allocation, and service.
- Interface with customers to provide product and market expertise.
- Participate in sales meetings for selected customers alongside FS-CV's, NKAM's, and GKAM's.
- Negotiate and maintain competitive rates across segments.
- Monitor all local charges.
- Establish country-specific rates with carriers for named account requests.
- Understand country needs and negotiate specific requirements with target carriers, such as space protection, free time on demurrage, and detention.
- Monitor bookings, lifting, and monthly performance reports to track country performance and carrier adherence.
- Oversee key account performance, rates, and resolve space or equipment issues.
- Develop and improve trade lanes through research, innovation, and strategic planning.
- Ensure efficient communication of carrier activities and market developments to management.
- Provide updates on carrier situations and changes in sea freight surcharges.
- Maintain relations with global sea freight carriers in LATAM, US, and Europe.
- Address and initiate solutions for issues like space or equipment constraints.
- Gather updated rate information from ocean carriers.
- Set targets with carriers and monitor volume performance.
- Establish and monitor space protection agreements with target carriers.
- Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Senior experience in trade management, commercial operations, and pricing.
- Experience working with Latin American countries.
- Knowledge of dry cargo and LCL is a plus.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.
