Role Summary

On March 28, 2024, Imerys Group published a press release announcing exclusive negotiations with Flacks Group for the contemplated divestment of its assets producing kaolin, ground calcium carbonate (GCC), precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC), and talc, which primarily serve the paper markets in North America, South America, Asia and Europe. The future company formed by these industrial sites is expected to start operating under a new brand in 2024 and will offer mineral solutions for industries worldwide. The new company will use its global footprint, assets and know-how to develop opportunities and foster innovation. Sustainability is a core value of this company.

The activity has an annual revenue of around €350 million (2023) and about 1,000 employees. The Company needs to reinforce existing teams to operate as a standalone organization and to meet ambitious development plans.

Role Overview

Drive organic and inorganic growth for customers and prospects in the perimeter you are responsible for. Support business and market developments, working with Business Development, S&T and Marketing. Be responsible for the profitability of the activity on all the customers present in your perimeter.

Missions
  • Develop and execute the commercial roadmaps developed for your segment/products/perimeter
  • Execute price increases as per the pricing strategy
  • Account management (negotiating short-term and long-term contracts, identifying growth/profitability opportunities, and advancing relationships with customers to maximize market share)
  • Ensure business performance by servicing the existing customer base and developing new growth opportunities
  • Develop plans and strategies for developing new commercial opportunities and achieving sales goals, with strong internal and external relationship building
  • Establish and nurture relationships with customers at multi-level management (upper management, purchasing, R&D)
  • Analyze sales trends and prepare reports for management; advise on business
  • Participate in building the annual sales plan, budget, forecasts and mid-term plan for your perimeter
  • Ensure forecast accuracy and jointly manage customer relationships with the Customer Service Team
  • Promote customer focus in the organization
  • Feed CRM with customer, market and competitor information

Qualification & Experience

Degree in preferably Chemistry, or Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. Experience: minimum 5 years in a commercial role with strong exposure to complex customers. Fluent in English and Spanish.
