Coinbase is looking for an Accounting Manager, Brazil to provide detailed finance, reporting and accounting support for its regulated entity based in Brazil, reporting to the Global Assistant Controller in the US. The Accounting Manager, Brazil provides effective financial leadership for Coinbase Brazil to grow value responsibly, in a profitable and sustainable manner. The Accounting Manager, Brazil fosters ethical and responsible decision making and robust management and corporate governance practices and is also responsible for reporting accurate financial information in compliance with applicable accounting standards and more generally for Coinbase Brazil's financial condition. We are looking for a candidate who has a positive attitude and is highly motivated to learn and grow within the organization, with a proven ability to thrive in a fast paced multi-task oriented environment. This position will play a crucial role in meeting our regulatory, financial and tax reporting obligations in Brazil. You will work and collaborate closely with many stakeholders across the organization, including regulatory compliance, finance, and data, tax, treasury and operations.

What you'll be doing (ie. job duties):

• Overseeing the accounting, financial and regulatory reporting and finance functions in the Brazil entity and ensuring finance processes operate effectively and accurately, following the Coinbase centralized model, delivering accurate financial insights into the business.
• Responsible for preparation and coordination of financial statements, regulatory reporting, business forecasts (partnering with FP&A) and other related information for external use (audit, submission to regulators, etc.), and play a leading role in external communication as the representative of the Finance department.
• Supporting the tax team with Brazil tax reporting and compliance experience with respect to domestic and import taxes (e.g. , PIS, COFINs, CIDE, withholding taxes, etc.)
• Partnering with the Global accounting team to prepare and/or review assigned month end and quarter end close book close processes, own the Company's parallel books of accounts maintained in line with IFRS and maintain appropriate reconciliations and valid support for all adjustments and periodically prepare, update, and review and update major accounting policies and policies and accounting and estimates, and adjust financial statements based on reconciliation results.
• Overseeing the finance function in Brazil and ensuring finance processes operate effectively and accurately, following the Coinbase centralized model, delivering accurate financial insights into the business.
• Acting as a contact point within the company for financial and accounting queries and queries from regulatory authorities relating to the finance function of the firm.
• Preparing and updating various finance policies and procedures.
• Monitoring and overseeing the performance of outsourced services by outsourced service providers relating to the finance function and assessing KPIs and SLAs.
• Active in the Brazil entity's liquidity management and coordinating closely with the treasury team.
• Participating in critical projects, including the transitioning to new external vendors, integration, automation or enhancements.
• Supporting ad hoc financial information requests and analyses and other special projects as assigned.
• Preparation of monthly management reporting and analytical review thereof.
