Overview

Senior Commodity Operations Analyst, Power – Sao Paulo Office. The Operations Division supports trade validation and settlement of a variety of financial and physical products in support of our Commodity Markets and Finance Trading division. The team operates in a time sensitive environment where accuracy, timely escalation and clear communication with the division, the businesses, Risk Management, correspondent banks and custodians are essential for a smooth trading process.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will provide essential business-aligned support services to our Brazil Power trading business including but not limited to trade verification, confirmation, invoicing and settlement services, treasury activities, regulatory reporting and reconciliations with ISOs and transmission providers. You will collaborate with Trading, Scheduling, Legal, Compliance, Finance/Tax, Technology, Risk Management, and other stakeholders supporting our Brazilian Power businesses. You will apply a continuous improvement mindset to create sustainable and innovative solutions to address business issues and needs.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3-6 years' relevant experience in the Energy sector, focusing on Power markets
  • Highly motivated with a confident, professional attitude, strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A strategic mindset with strong technical skills and the ability to simplify complex situations
