Manager’s Office Support Consultant at Inter‑American Development Bank Location: Washington, D.C. Headquarters (international role with visa and relocation support). About This Position The Office of Risk Management (RMG) seeks a dynamic, tech‑savvy individual to support the manager’s office team. The role blends high‑quality administrative and operational support for senior leadership with driving process automation, digitalization, and efficiency improvements across departmental workflows. What You’ll Do Office Administration Support Collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer’s Assistant and RMG Principal Technical Leaders to manage schedules, coordinate meetings, and prepare documentation and logistics for key engagements. Support day‑to‑day operations by managing calendars, inboxes, and internal communications, ensuring efficient coordination and timely follow‑up on actions and deliverables. Serve as a back‑up for the CRO’s Assistant and the Resource Planning & Administration (RPA) team as needed. Prepare and coordinate documents and presentations for management committees and the Board of Executive Directors. Manage travel arrangements, expense reporting, and compliance with IDB travel policies. Process system access requests and coordinate annual recertifications. Assist in organizing internal and external events, including workshops, retreats, and training sessions—overseeing logistics, scheduling, and technical setup. Work effectively and deliver tasks in a timely manner under limited supervision, while complying with all Bank policies and procedures. Resources Administration Support (in coordination with the RPA Team) Support processing of the Department’s administrative payments and maintain corresponding records, following contractual terms and payment requests. Assist contracting and onboarding processes of new employees, coordinating user account setup, welcome messaging, and orientation procedures. Collaborate, as needed, with execution of RMG Diversity & Inclusion plans and Risk Awareness strategy. Assist in carrying out the annual departmental training plan. Digital Process Automation & Efficiency Solutions Map, document, and analyze recurring administrative and operational processes to identify automation opportunities. Design and implement technology‑enabled solutions—Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI, MS Planner, SharePoint, and AI‑driven assistants—to streamline workflows and enhance transparency. Build and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards to track budgets, procurement requests, staffing actions, and project progress. Propose and pilot AI‑based solutions (e.g., email automation, document generation, data extraction, meeting summarization) to support daily operations and decision‑making. Collaborate with IT and other support units to integrate new tools with existing IDB platforms, ensuring compliance with internal policies and cybersecurity protocols. Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of RMG’s internal website and knowledge‑sharing platforms. Support training and knowledge‑sharing initiatives to promote adoption of new tools and technologies across the department. What You’ll Need Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. Experience: At least two years of relevant professional experience, preferably in general business administration. Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish (spoken and written). Knowledge of French and Portuguese is a plus. Requirements Citizen of or legal permission to work from your residency; relocation and visa assistance may be offered for eligible candidates. No family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) are employed by the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab. Type of Contract and Duration International consultant – Full‑time, 12‑month contract up to 36 months. Benefits Competitive compensation package.
