Duties and Responsibilities:
SETA Management:
Coordinate and manage SETA-related activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standardsProvide administrative support by capturing learner information on SETA CIMS related to skill programs and internshipsMonitor and maintain reporting for WSP and ATR submissions across business unitsLiaise with SETA representatives to stay updated on new developments and requirements
Learnerships:
Oversee the administration of skills programs and learnerships, including enrolment and tracking of learnersAssist in the coordination of skills development programs, including scheduling and logistics, learner registration and confirmation, and tracking attendance and completion ratesEnsure all learner agreements and documentation are accurately completed and maintainedMonitor learner progress and provide support to both learners and mentors throughout the program3.
Internships:
Administer internship programs, from candidate selection to program completionCoordinate with various departments to ensure meaningful and structured internship experiencesMaintain records of intern performance and feedback, providing reports to the Learning and Development Manager4.
General Administrative Support:
Maintain the L&D calendar and related schedules, ensuring that all deadlines and timelines are metAssist in the organization and scheduling of training sessions, workshops, and external programsAssist in the preparation of learning and development program materials, including PowerPoint presentations, handouts, and other support materials
Monitor and maintain L&D evaluations, and feedback from management, participants and facilitators.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records and L&D reports for business unitsHandle inquiries related to training programs and provide appropriate assistance to employees and line managers5.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure all Learning and Development activities are compliant with company policies and regulatory requirementsMonitor and maintain Training Committee and EE committee meeting agendas and meeting minutesMonitor and maintain EE reporting6.
Continuous Improvement:
Gather feedback on training programs and suggest improvements to enhance effectiveness and engagement.
Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in learning and development.
Requirements:
A relevant diploma in Human Resources or Adult Education and Training
Proven experience in managing SETA processes, learnerships, and internships, CATHSSETA or W&R SETA preferredPrevious experience in a learning and development administrative role in a fast-paced environmentAdministration of information on ETA CIMSUnderstanding of Skills Development Act, EE Act, BCE ActExcellent organizational and time-management skillsStrong communication and interpersonal abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficiency in SETA CIMS and learner management systemsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamHigh attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasksUnderstanding of learning and development principles and practicesBenefits:
