Accountant to join our
Finance & Control team.

In this position, you will report to the Chief Accountant in Wärtsilä, and the preferred location of the position is in
Rio de Janeiro/RJ, Brazil.


What you will be doing?

As Accountant, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Support the Accounting Team to prepare the Financial Statements according to IFRS
  • Knowledge and ownership of accounting processes e.g. accruals, intercompany, reconciliation processes, payroll, revenue and expense operations
  • Monthly closing activities
  • Classification and analysis of assets, liabilities, expenses and income
  • Analysis of payroll
  • Support the Area Head and Chief Accountant in some reports and activities
  • Accounts reconciliation
  • Attending to internal and external audits
  • Work along with other departments

What it takes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting completed
  • Active CPA is necessary
  • Experience in Accounting Area
  • Kownledge in SAP FI
  • Knowledge of fixed assets and lease contracts
  • Advanced English
  • Advanced Excel
  • Spanish will be a plus
