Choice Technologies, an SEW company, is a prominent global player in Revenue Assurance for Utilities, having built its Revenue Intelligence™ platform to assist utilities reduce non-technical revenue losses and minimize operational costs. CHOICE's Revenue Intelligence™ platform uses sophisticated AI and ML-based algorithms to accurately forecast fraud probability and the financial return connected to each customer. The platform enables improved revenue assurance activities such as fraud and theft prevention, meter replacement, administrative process optimization or delivering the threefold benefit of restoring lost revenues for utilities, bringing down tariffs for end customers, and decreasing energy and water usage, helping the environment.


Summary

As the Sales Manager at Choice Tech, you will be a major contributor to our overall growth and profitability. You will come in as an experienced, successful deal-closer responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, building, managing, and growing new and existing client relationships, long-term client relationships, as well as developing and then leveraging strategic business relationships. The role requires a strong focus on new business development in addition to up-selling and cross-selling to existing clients and securing contract renewals. This will be achieved through lead qualification, developing assigned accounts, sound account planning, understanding client's business & objectives, educating clients on our portfolio of solutions, identifying ways we can assist clients in meeting their business needs, prioritizing activities, and closing revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivating Trusted Relationships: Foster and nurture strong, trusting relationships with customers and partners to establish credibility.
  • Revenue Expansion: Propel volume, revenue, and gross profit growth for assigned clients by identifying cross-selling opportunities for services and products.
  • Collaborative Approach: Identify cross-selling possibilities and collaborate with Account Executives to facilitate the process efficiently.
  • Upselling and Customer Satisfaction: Monitor the customer base to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling new solutions and revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Industry Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Utilities industry and stay abreast of industry trends, challenges, and the competitive landscape.
  • Sales Proficiency: Exhibit proficiency in customer retention, presentation skills, and the ability to work independently to lead virtual teams.
  • Organizational Mastery: Display strong organizational skills and effective time management to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Communication Excellence: Possess exceptional communication skills to effectively communicate Choice and SEW platform value propositions to clients and partners.
  • Solution-Oriented Approach: Apply solution selling techniques to comprehensively understand customer needs and effectively position Choice's Revenue Intelligence Digital Platform.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Prowess: Utilize analytical skills to identify customer pain points, propose tailored solutions, and resolve issues effectively.
  • Negotiation Expertise: Leverage negotiation skills to reach mutually beneficial agreements with clients and partners.
  • Sales Expansion: Proactively seek new business opportunities and engage in sales prospecting activities to acquire new clients and partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field; or equivalent preferred
  • 5-10 years of Software sales experience: software, data marketing, analytics, digital or related technology space exposure is a plus; some start-up experience is preferred.
  • 2-4 years' sales account management experience in a business-to-business environment
  • Strong foundation for strategic and tactical selling of a solutions sale
  • Experience selling to utility companies.
  • Demonstrated success selling to Fortune 1000 clients.
  • Highly evolved presentation and negotiation skills
  • Motivated to advance growth in an entrepreneurial, rapidly growing company environment.
  • Proven track record of prospecting and cultivating new business.
  • Advanced communication skills in both Portuguese and English is a must.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus
