What They Are Looking For

As our hiring partner's first Sales and Support Engineer, you will be critical in supporting their sales team by providing technical expertise and solutions during sales interactions. You will work closely with potential and existing clients to understand their technical requirements and demonstrate how our marketplace platform can meet their needs. Additionally, you will work with the support team to address issues related to performance, configuration, and other technical problems. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the platform works for all users.


The day-to-day responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and craft tailored software solutions that align with their requirements.

• Be the first-line technical support resource for our customer success teams.

• Write and maintain custom code to enhance the platform's functionality or integrate third-party services as clients need.

• Provide technical expertise during sales calls and meetings, demonstrating how the platform can be tailored to meet specific customer needs.

• Handle post-sales support, helping customers with technical issues, troubleshooting, and helping ensure they successfully onboard.

• Develop and maintain documentation related to custom developments.

• Conduct training sessions for customers to ensure they can use the platform and any custom solutions provided.

• Work closely with the product and engineering teams to share customer insights and help guide future product development.

• Train sales representatives and account managers on the technical aspects of the product to enhance their selling capabilities.


What you bring to the role

• Experience as a Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Consultant, or in a similar role involving technical sales support.

• Strong understanding of cloud-based solutions and familiarity with software development processes.

• Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of conveying technical information in an accessible manner to non-technical stakeholders.

• Proficient knowledge of one or more of the following (order by most preferred): Kotlin, Java, Node/Javascript/React

• Experience with scripting languages and automating solutions

• Experience working and building GraphQL services (highly preferred)

• Experience with eCommerce platforms and understanding the dropshipping industry is a plus.
