Job Description

The position is part of the Livestock Business Unit reporting to the Global Ruminant Lead.

The LATAM Ruminant Business Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring alignment between the Global Marketing Organization and the Regional Commercial organizations for all initiatives related to the execution of the Ruminant Business Unit strategy. This role serves as the voice of the Ruminant Business Unit with Regional Leadership and as the region's representative within the Ruminant Business Unit.

The primary focus of the role is the implementation of various business initiatives outlined in the Country and Regional Roadmaps.

The role necessitates strategic planning, leadership, and execution of business initiatives that contribute to the long-term success of the enterprise.

Frequent interaction with senior leaders across different functions and within the LATAM region is essential to refine project planning, address changes in project execution, identify and communicate risks, and ensure the delivery of Roadmap priorities.

Evaluating the success and value added by each initiative using measurable outcomes and communicating these results across the organization is a key responsibility.

Business initiatives encompass a range of activities outlined in the Country and Regional Roadmaps.

The positions may be located at an Animal Health office in a significant ruminant market within the LATAM Region, as agreed upon.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience encompassing commercial, marketing, and operational roles.
  • Proven track record of thriving in a matrix environment, leading cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement collaboratively.
  • Strong strategic decision-making abilities, critical thinking skills, and a comprehensive understanding of the Animal Health Industry, particularly the Ruminant Production sector.
  • Excellent business acumen, positive attitude, collaborative approach, and adaptability to change.
  • Demonstrated success in prior roles, consistently meeting goals and developing skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including intercultural and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and demonstrated computer skills.
  • Fluency in English required; knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese is beneficial.

- Bachelor's degree

Preferred Education, Experiences and Skills (non-mandatory):


- Master's degree / MBA

Principal Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving key business objectives of the Ruminant Business Unit in the designated region.
  • Work closely with Regional & Country Leadership to secure necessary resources for executing Roadmap priorities.
  • Support markets in setting and attaining business initiative goals.
  • Foster effective communication and engagement with regional commercial operations through visits and organizing business meetings.
  • Collaborate with RVPs and Country GMs to optimize results in their respective territories.
  • Provide regular updates and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Alignment with key markets on performance targets and monitoring KPIs.
  • Utilize project management skills effectively.

- Up to 50% travel, including international trips
