Job Overview:
(2 to 5 yrs Experience )
We are seeking an Onsite IT Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical support, network troubleshooting, and data center assistance at our Jundiai site. The ideal candidate will have strong fundamentals in networking, server management, and IT infrastructure operations within an SLA-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide onsite IT support, including network and hardware troubleshooting .
Work with network devices such as switches, routers, and wireless access points (preferably Cisco, Riverbed).
Assign switch ports to VLANs and patch phone ports as needed.
Troubleshoot Avaya Vo IP phones and perform basic configurations.
Diagnose and coordinate resolution for fiber link issues and switch chassis replacements.
Perform regular IDF room checks (minimum twice weekly) for cooling, UPS alarms, and PDU health .
Support data center and network administrators during technical troubleshooting.
Monitor systems using tools like Solar Winds , Control-M , and EMC Avamar/Data Domain .
Manage and maintain servers, storage devices , and perform performance monitoring .
Utilize ITSM tools (preferably Service Now) for incident and service management.
Ensure compliance with SLA-based support requirements . Required Knowledge & Skills:
Networking fundamentals (Switches, Routers, VLANs).
Operating Systems: Windows Server, UNIX, Linux .
Basic understanding of Active Directory, MS Exchange, and File/Print Servers .
Familiarity with backup technologies (EMC Avamar preferred).
Experience with monitoring tools (Solar Winds or similar).
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Hands-on experience in data center or infrastructure environments is a plus. Why Apply?
