United World Telecom is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Application Testing Specialist to join our team in the Sao Paulo office. This is an on-site position and requires daily commuting to our office in Pinheiros, Sao Paulo. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of our customer-facing applications.

You will conduct regular, thorough testing of our softphone, Customer Control Panel, IVR setup, advanced service features, and CRM integrations to identify and help resolve issues before they impact our customers. You will play a critical role in our development lifecycle by collaborating closely with our engineering team to report and track bugs, as well as with our customer success managers and customers to replicate and troubleshoot reported issues.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and a passion for delivering a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Periodic and Ad-Hoc Testing: Conduct comprehensive, periodic testing of all customer-facing applications, including the softphone (iOS, Android, Web, Windows and macOS), Customer Control Panel (Chrome, Firefox, Edge), IVR setup, advanced service features, CRM integrations (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho), and PBX Integration (MsTeams, Genesys, Twilio). This includes testing new features, regression testing, and performance testing.
  2. Issue Replication and Troubleshooting: Work directly with customer success managers and customers to replicate reported issues, gather detailed information, and document steps to reproduce bugs.
  3. Bug Reporting and Tracking: Accurately document, prioritize, and track defects and bugs using our project management tools.
  4. Collaboration: Partner with the tech team (developers, product managers) to communicate testing results, provide feedback on application functionality, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  5. Test Case Development: Create and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and testing scripts for various applications and features.
  6. Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation of all testing activities, including test results, identified defects, and resolutions.
  7. Feedback Loop: Provide regular feedback to the product and development teams on application usability and overall quality.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester, Application Tester, or similar role.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, bug-free applications.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience with testing mobile, web-based applications and external integrations.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong ability to analyze complex issues and identify root causes.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate testing results and issues.
