We are looking for a Category Manager to oversee the development, management, review, and implementation of Direct Materials plus Business requirements projects for Health & Biosciences Category. The main challenges are related to delivering productivity in terms of pricing, process efficiencies and cash flow improvement.
**WE COUNT ON YOU TO**:
- Manage and perform of this full portfolio, including establishing sourcing strategies, setting strategic objectives, optimizing supplier’s portfolio and executing strategic transformative projects. He/she will manage relationships with key suppliers, ensure alignment with IFF business objectives, and participate with Global category teams to align sourcing strategies with global, regional, and local business needs.
- Ensure strategically supply resilience being for our key suppliers ‘customer of first choice.’
- Create and track productivity projects pipeline through the different areas, to ensure the delivery of hard savings and cashflow benefits, as well as innovate and deploy initiatives to accelerate and move forward with ESG agenda, ensuring the best cost to serve to IFF customers.
- As a member of the Regional Procurement Team H&B, as needed, to be responsible for, and lead the sourcing, negotiation and contracting of Direct Materials & IMS in and out of the LA region, meeting the regional and global requirements.
- Manage costs in a volatile Maritime market through the development of competitive cost suppliers and the consolidation of the incumbent supplier base.
- Responsible for the proactive communication of current and upcoming market changes.
- Enforce, monitor, and evaluate purchasing strategies in relation to stakeholders, internal customers, and suppliers.
- Work closely with IFF Procurement / HB Leadership to monitor and analyze cost data in order to ensure volume trends are, and performance is, in line with agreed expectations.
- Be responsible for the management of the supplier base (number of suppliers, commercial and performance evaluation, QSE, among others) and for ensuring the successful implementation of Procurement processes, designing and tracking relevant SLA´s for strategical suppliers.
- Be responsible for Risk Management (Financial risk, HSE risks, among others.) of selected suppliers in order to ensure on-time and safe delivery to costumers.
- Work closely with Global, Regional and Local stakeholders to set and agree on clear requirements and expectations relating to Procurement results and suppliers’ performance.
- Negotiate master agreements with strategic vendors.
- Negotiate and resolve vendor performance issues and negotiate claims, when necessary.
- Be the main link with the market, being aware of market & supply trends, including new suppliers & technologies.
**WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**:
- Deep and strong negotiation, analytics and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong knowledge of business practices and financial concepts/impact/analyses
- Solid Financial acumen ideally acquired through an international pharma company
- Strong people skills, project management and experience in cross-functional teams
- Problem solving skills. Ability to manage problems from complex to simple
- Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management
- complex scenario at many businesses units with many stakeholders
- Procurement, Supply Chain and Analytical background in a global environment
- 8-10 years general business experience; 6-8 years in procurement or at relevant organizations
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Economy, or other related area of background
- Spanish and English fluency required.
- In depth understanding of capital sourcing processes and procurement strategies development.
- Experience in vendor development and supplier relationship management (SRM)..
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication skills and ability to influence and work with senior levels.
