Um Key Account Manager (KAM) é um profissional que identifica e fortalece relacionamentos com clientes-chave. Estes são os clientes que geram a maior parte da receita ou representam uma oportunidade importante para sua empresa.

O KAM estabelece uma parceria duradoura que vai além de um simples acordo comercial. Eles prestam atenção especial às expectativas dos clientes-chave.

O principal papel de um KAM é reter os principais clientes e cultivar esses relacionamentos ao longo do tempo. Idealmente, eles se tornam um consultor e parceiro estratégico do cliente, apresentando novas oportunidades de negócios para benefício mútuo.
