Job Description

As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure smooth execution of import/export processes. You will analyze these processes to determine methods for improving efficiency and reducing costs, ensuring compliance with government regulations and company policies.

Key responsibilities include handling communication with internal customers about the status of imports and exports, fostering trusting relationships with vendors and team members. Additionally, you will contribute to projects as a team member, tracking products from origin to final delivery, supporting procedure reviews to ensure maximum efficiency or minimum cost.

You will confer with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, or minimize costs. Furthermore, you will discuss business strategies, practices, or policies with managers, monitoring organizational processes and supporting vendor operations evaluations according to quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Requirements for this role include fluently speaking and writing in English, excellent communication skills, and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Business Administration, Accounting Sciences, or related area.

Additionally, you must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, relational databases, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP). Experience with importing radioactive, explosive, and chemicals is also required, along with knowledge of Customs regimes such as Repetro Sped, Repetro Industrialização, Ex Tarifário requests, and controls.

Interpersonal and leadership skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and solve problems effectively. Desired characteristics include being able to speak and write in Spanish and having working knowledge of the Ecomex system.
