Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist Role

Job Summary:

  • This role is focused on performing diagnostic ultrasound exams and invasive procedures to meet patient care needs.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, be able to work independently, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams according to physician specifications, including imaging of various anatomical regions.
  • Assist physicians in the performance of specialized procedures as needed.
  • Document accurate patient information, including medical history, symptoms, and preliminary findings.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program (CAHEA-approved).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in performing imaging examinations using established protocols.
  • RDMS registration through ARDMS within 6 months of hire.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification within 90 days.
