Data Analyst Job Description

As a data analyst, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across the organization. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining interactive dashboards, analyzing complex datasets, and ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

This role requires a strong problem solver who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Develop and maintain data visualization tools, ensuring they are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with business needs.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources.
  • Perform data transformation and cleaning to prepare datasets for reporting and analysis.
  • Investigate and resolve data quality issues, proactively identifying anomalies and inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Design and implement reporting solutions that are scalable, user-friendly, and visually compelling.
  • Document data processes, definitions, and workflows to support transparency and knowledge sharing.
  • Manage multiple projects and timelines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Expert-level proficiency in data visualization tools for dashboard creation and data interpretation.
  • Strong experience with SQL for querying and data manipulation.
  • Solid understanding of database management principles and relational data models.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex data problems independently.
  • High attention to detail in report design and data validation.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in database design and management, including table relationships and indexing.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools and workflows.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality management practices.
  • Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau or Looker.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
