We are seeking certified nursing assistants to provide quality care to residents in a nursing home setting.
Key Responsibilities- Grooming and bathing patients with limited mobility is essential for their comfort and well-being.
- Patient rooms must be prepared with necessary items to ensure a smooth patient experience.
- Assisting patients with eating and medication administration is critical to their health.
- Maintaining regular meal times and administering proper medication dosages are crucial aspects of this role.
- Vital signs and patient behavior must be closely monitored and reported to the nursing and medical staff.
- Providing assistance with mobility needs and transferring patients from wheelchairs to beds is vital.
- Preventing bedsores or discomfort requires careful attention to patient positioning.
- A current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is mandatory.
- Geriatric experience, preferably one year, is beneficial but not required.
- CPR or BLS certification is expected upon hire or during orientation.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, including customer service, patience, empathy, and compassion. Effective communication skills, such as active listening, writing, speaking, and reading comprehension, are also essential.
