Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity in transportation engineering? Pennoni is seeking an experienced Associate Highway Engineer to join their Transportation Division at their Lehigh Valley, PA office.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation engineering, including experience with PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit preparation and review, roadway design, drainage design, ADA ramp design, maintenance and protection of traffic plans, pavement marking and signing layouts, and pavement section design and review.
Required skills and qualifications include:
- Experience/knowledge of PennDOT publications and design standards
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 2-5 years of work experience
- Licenses Required: Professional Engineer in PA preferred
- Computer skills required: Basic knowledge of PennDOT's electronic permitting system (EPS)
- Familiarity with current design standards (PennDOT, AASHTO)
- Efficient use of other applicable engineering software (StormCAD; Hydraflow Hydrographs; Hydraflow Storm Sewers; VTPSUHM, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple assignments
- Strong work ethic
- Enjoys working on a variety of assignments
