We are seeking a skilled Highway Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for working on highway/roadway design projects, preparing roadway/highway design work using local or AASHTO standards, and assisting in the management of larger projects.
Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field, 5 years of transportation engineering design experience, and excellent communication and organizational skills. You should also have hands-on experience with highways and roads CAD engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer, and be proficient in MS Office.
Primary Responsibilities:- Work as a key member of a highway/roadway design team for moderate to large projects, and to work independently on smaller projects.
- Prepare or oversee the following roadway/highway design work using local or AASHTO standards: horizontal and vertical alignments, roadway sections, intersection layouts and sight distance determinations, interchange layouts, right-of-way plans.
- Assist in the management of larger projects or manage smaller projects including preparation of scopes, budgets, and schedules.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of transportation engineering design experience required.
- Experience working on PennDOT / PTC projects.
