Your Responsibilities:
The Senior Strategic Partner Manager is tasked with maintaining fruitful business relationships with Global System Integrators, ISV embedded partners, and potential partners who either resell the Sovos platform or provide referrals that contribute to new business growth. This will be achieved by formulating and executing a comprehensive partner-centric sales and market entry strategy.
This position requires a dynamic individual with a proven history of cultivating and sustaining partnerships with global system integrators, ISVs, resellers, and consultancies.
The Senior Strategic Partner Manager will work closely with executive leadership, regional sales management, and the partner team regarding their partnership strategy. They will devise and implement a top-tier alliances strategy to assess the success and revenue contributions of these partnerships. This individual will foster deep connections and work to promote the Sovos platform's value proposition with key partners.
Key Activities Include:
- Establish and nurture strategic alliances with global system integrators, ISVs, or tax advisory firms, implementing a model that supports continuous growth and enhances partner revenues to meet and surpass global sales objectives.
- Develop and maintain sustainable and mutually advantageous relationships with these strategic alliance partners to encourage joint organizational and financial commitments from both Sovos and its partners.
- Drive the growth of the alliance's contribution to the business, measured in license bookings, revenue, and generated pipeline.
- Collaborate with regional Account Executives and sales leadership to leverage our partner relationships for entry into new accounts and expansion within existing accounts.
- Create a framework for building capacity with partners and equip sales teams with the necessary readiness and enablement to pursue market share growth among partners.
- Formulate business plans with key stakeholders for each partner and ensure that commercial objectives are defined and achieved.
- Establish a regular business rhythm, including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and consistent executive alignment internally.
- Engage actively, maintaining a personal presence and high visibility in the field, and directly drive collaboration on opportunities with partners and Sovos direct sales teams.
- Work alongside Product, Sales, and Marketing to ensure comprehensive coverage of partners, drive joint solutions, and execute go-to-market programs that generate additional sales opportunities.
- Foster alignment between the partner and Sovos field organizations and continue to enhance the Sovos co-sell culture to create mutually beneficial outcomes for our joint customers.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of demonstrated success in alliance sales within software and services across alliance partners.
- Experience in penetrating, onboarding, and expanding alliance partners, including knowledge of business models, contracts, and effective go-to-market strategies.
- Aptitude and enthusiasm for developing and establishing strategic partnerships and collaborating closely with sales teams in competitive settings.
- Proven success in meeting sales targets and accurately forecasting partner business.
- A growth-oriented mindset in an organization that is enhancing its partner ecosystem.
- Strong collaboration skills with relevant internal stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Extensive partner management experience and partner empathy.
- Strong business and partner development acumen.
- Demonstrated success in generating revenue through partnerships.
- Ability to create and implement partner business plans that drive partner revenue objectives.
- An MBA is advantageous, but not a substitute for practical experience.
- Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check and drug test upon hiring.
