The position of Security Engineering Manager encompasses leading a team of engineers and driving innovation in security engineering. This role significantly impacts the safety and security of millions of users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a team of engineers, ranging from junior to senior levels.
  • Provide technical guidance on vulnerability remediation and implementation strategies.
  • Drive the development of new security engineering projects, focusing on risk mitigation and threat analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with upstream open source projects on vulnerability lifecycle handling and resolution.
  • Coach, mentor, and offer career development feedback to team members.
  • Identify and measure team performance indicators, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
  • Implement disciplined engineering processes, promoting efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Represent your team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers, fostering strong relationships and trust.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • An exceptional academic record, including both high school and university achievements.
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field, or a compelling narrative about alternative paths taken.
  • Demonstrated drive and a track record of exceeding expectations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • A passion for developing and growing people, with a proven track record of success.
  • Organized and able to ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.
  • Professional manner when interacting with colleagues, partners, and community members.
  • Solid background in software development, including expertise in support and maintenance.
  • Mastery in programming languages such as Go, Java, C, Python, and others.
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about software and application security.
  • Solid experience working in agile development environments.
  • A demonstrated drive for continual learning and professional growth.
  • Ability to build trust, relationships, and confidence with team members and stakeholders.
  • Result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments and deliver results.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong technical understanding of Linux distributions, preferably Ubuntu or Debian.
