Our ideal candidate will be a skilled professional with expertise in the maintenance and operation of power systems protection.

A strong educational background in Electrical Engineering or a related field, complemented by at least 5 years of experience in this area, is essential for this role. Additionally, proficiency in IEDs parameterization and protection tests sets is required.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Planning and executing preventive maintenance plans for CGN asset protection systems
  • Carrying out corrective maintenance and configuring IED parameters
  • Conducting tests of configured protection functions using test cases
  • Interpreting single-line diagrams, functional diagrams, network architecture, and other relevant documentation
  • Preparing technical reports of activities developed
  • Conducting field data surveys

The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting field teams in predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance tasks. They will also be involved in KPI implementation and analysis, as well as elaborating technical requirements for protection of electric power systems.

In addition to these key responsibilities, the successful candidate will contribute to the execution of major corrective maintenances and commissioning activities in Protection Systems. They will also be responsible for elaborating technical documentation for O&M technicians, such as manuals and procedures.

Please note that the following qualifications are required for this position:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in power systems protection
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Fluency in English (speaking, writing, and reading)
  • Experience with ABB, SEL, Alstom/GE protection systems and the technical norm IEC 61850
  • Differential knowledge of protection relays from other manufacturers (Siemens, Schneider)
