Product Director Role

As a Product Director, you will lead the life cycle of a single-use systems product line. Your primary responsibility is to drive growth and profitability while leading a technical team to enhance market value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team focused on product improvements, marketing, and new concepts, setting priorities and developing implementation plans.
  • Develop compelling marketing materials and sales tools, training relevant functions on product features, benefits, and differentiation.
  • Evaluate and prioritize potential product changes based on return on investment, collaborating with functional organizations to implement.
  • Plan and drive cost reduction, analyzing all aspects of cost, identifying opportunities, and working with teams to implement.
  • Support other functions as the product line owner, addressing issues and providing product capability information.
  • Assess product competitiveness, perform SWOT analyses, and train other functions on product design and functionality.
  • Develop and mentor team personnel, identify resource needs, and undertake other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in capital equipment engineering, project management, or operations, preferably in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Proven leadership skills, including direct personnel management and team leadership.
  • Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, strategic planning skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Absence of inventory or supply knowledge not needed here ,experience with capital equipment applications, product management, or product marketing is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of bioprocess equipment (fermenters, bioreactors, filtration, chromatography, CIP, Single Use Systems) is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science; Master's or MBA is an asset.
