Job Title: Information Resource Manager

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Learning Resource Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Catalogue books and other materials using Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR) and MARC-21 format
  • Supervise helpers and/or assistants with shelving and physical processing of books and media materials
  • Manage resource circulation and develop procedures to ensure efficient service
  • Provide exceptional customer service to users, teaching them how to search academic databases and find relevant resources
  • Select bibliographic materials for discarding and accept suggestions from teachers
  • Promote information resources and participate in cultural events

Requirements:

  • Fluent English and Portuguese language skills
  • Graduation in Biblioteconomia (Librarianship) with registration in CRB (Conselho Regional de Biblioteconomia)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and resilience in a dynamic environment

This is a bilingual post, and applicants must be fluent in both languages.

The appointed person will work closely with the Learning Resource Centre team and teaching staff to provide an exceptional learning experience for our pupils.
