Industrial Process Engineer Specialist Position

As a skilled industrial process engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge analytics solutions for our clients. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will enable you to drive business value and quality through collaborative work with data scientists and product owners.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create studies on process and performance for operational efficiency and compliance with international standards for quality and safety.
- Contribute to the development of advanced analytics solutions for condition monitoring and performance optimization of industrial assets.
- Compile and digest industrial technical documentation as operational manuals, datasheets, and P&IDs to gather information for data-driven models.
- Develop root cause analysis studies of industry failure events to identify opportunities for development and improvement of digital solutions.
- Explore and develop mathematical modeling of industrial thermodynamic processes to support data-driven solutions development.
- Explore historical time-series data of process equipment to validate hypothesis and test modeling techniques.
- Implement digital products in new clients and support the development of new features.
- Participate in problem framing together with business owners, data scientists, and other engineers for identified opportunities.
Requirements:
- Hold a degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field, with a deep understanding of process engineering theories and practices.
- Proven experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with strong knowledge of industrial processes, operations, and predictive monitoring of critical assets.
- Solid understanding of industrial systems and equipment, including practical knowledge of sensing technologies, protection systems, performance control, efficiency optimization, technical specifications, and common failure modes.
- Hands-on experience with PI AF (Asset Framework) for data analysis and the development of predictive models, driving actionable insights and process improvements.
- Expertise in asset performance and integrity management, with the ability to lead and facilitate structured engineering studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, RCA, FMEA, and RCM.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial process operations and control, enabling the analysis of systems involving multiple interconnected pieces of equipment.
- Basic knowledge of industrial automation, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS), dedicated protection systems, and condition monitoring technologies.
- Technical familiarity with data collection and storage systems, including vibration data acquisition, PIMS platforms, and OPC servers.
- Working knowledge of data analysis, machine learning algorithms, and digital software system architectures.
- Experience with agile methodologies and tools for continuous improvement and process optimization.
- Language: Advanced English proficiency is required.
- Certification: CREA certification is mandatory.
- Availability to work at our offices in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo is essential.
