Industrial Process Optimization Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Process Engineer to join our team. As an Industrial Process Engineer, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary Agile team to build cutting-edge advanced analytics solutions.

• You will be responsible for building and maintaining industrial processes, troubleshooting, and monitoring of equipment.
• You will work closely with Data Scientists and Product Owners to ensure business value and quality.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop studies of process and performance for operational efficiency and compliance with international standards.
2. Contribute to develop advanced analytics solutions for condition monitoring and performance optimization of industrial assets.
3. Compile and digest industrial technical documentation as operational manuals, datasheets, and P&IDs to gather information for data-driven models.
4. Develop root cause analysis studies of industry failure events to identify new opportunities for development and improvement of digital solutions.
5. Explore and develop mathematical modeling of industrial thermodynamic processes to support data-driven solutions development.
6. Explore historical time-series data of process equipment to validate hypothesis and test modeling techniques.
7. Implement digital products in new clients and support development of new features.
8. Participate in problem framing together with business owners, data scientists, and other engineers for identified opportunities.

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field with a deep understanding of process engineering theories and practices.
• Proven experience in the Oil & Gas industry with strong knowledge of industrial processes, operations, and predictive monitoring of critical assets.
• Solid understanding of industrial systems and equipment including practical knowledge of sensing technologies, protection systems, performance control, efficiency optimization, technical specifications, and common failure modes.
• Hands-on experience with PI AF (Asset Framework) for data analysis and development of predictive models driving actionable insights and process improvements.
• Expertise in asset performance and integrity management with the ability to lead and facilitate structured engineering studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, RCA, FMEA, and RCM.
• In-depth knowledge of industrial process operations and control enabling analysis of systems involving multiple interconnected pieces of equipment.
• Basic knowledge of industrial automation including Distributed Control Systems (DCS), dedicated protection systems, and condition monitoring technologies.
• Technical familiarity with data collection and storage systems including vibration data acquisition, PIMS platforms, and OPC servers.
• Working knowledge of data analysis, machine learning algorithms, and digital software system architectures.
• Experience with agile methodologies and tools for continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• CERTIFICATION: CREA certification is mandatory.
