Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team at Fairmont Pittsburgh. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for providing exceptional service and ensuring a seamless guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Registration: Greet guests upon arrival, check-in and check-out, and update guest profiles to ensure accuracy.
  • Room Assignment: Assign rooms to guests while meeting luxury standards and ensuring utmost safety and confidentiality.
  • Key Issuance: Issue keys to guests while maintaining discretion and protecting guest privacy.
  • Account Settlement: Settle guest accounts while ensuring all services standards are followed.
  • Revenue Generation: Drive revenue through room upsells and cross-promotion of other hotel outlets.
  • Communication: Assist guests and answer inquiries regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way.
  • Problem Resolution: Resolve guest issues and inquiries, and escalate to Supervisor or Manager when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in Front Office operations in a luxury setting is an asset.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Front Office Systems-Micros-Fidelio and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), excellent written/verbal communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical Demands: Constant walking and standing during shift, occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
