Job Summary:

The Regional Head of Property is a key member of the regional leadership team, responsible for ensuring the effective management of school facilities, capital projects, and property portfolios across the region. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration skills to deliver high-quality outcomes and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilities Management: Develop and implement effective facilities management plans, ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of school premises, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Capital Projects: Plan, manage, and deliver capital projects, including infrastructure expansion, improvement, and renovation projects, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Property Portfolio Management: Oversee the management of the regional property portfolio, ensuring optimal use of resources, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with school leaders, regional teams, external stakeholders, contractors, and consultants to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure the overall security arrangements of each school premises, including alarm systems, key holding responsibilities, and compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain periodic reports and key performance indicators related to facilities maintenance, budget control, and capital expenditure.
  • Procurement and Vendor Management: Recruit, manage, and support regional and local vendors, ensuring the best deals for the schools across the region.
  • Contingency Planning: Develop, review, and update school-specific contingency and recovery plans, ensuring all procedures are clearly communicated to all staff and members of the school management team.

Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of facilities management, capital projects, and property portfolio management.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including school leaders, regional teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and negotiate effectively.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.

Working Environment:

This role involves frequent travel within the region and occasional travel beyond this. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes and driving business growth.
