Senior Accountant II Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant II to join our organization. As a Senior Accountant II, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of ledgers and financial systems, assisting in client deliverables, and participating in period close activities.

Your primary focus will be on compiling and reviewing month-end accruals, posting journal entries according to ASC 606 guidelines, and completing monthly accrual reconciliations. You will also be responsible for recognizing revenue in compliance with contract terms and internal corporate guidelines, generating fee invoices, and providing commentary on aging invoices.

To ensure the success of our organization, you will need to cross-collaborate with teams to meet client and corporate business needs. This may involve maintaining an accurate pipeline by obtaining transaction details and updating information, as well as supporting the accounts payable team to ensure timely payments and resolve outstanding issues.

In addition to your technical skills, you will need to possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and within a team, build relationships, and interact effectively with business partners.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, some real estate experience preferred.
  • Advanced accounting and analytical skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet applications required.
  • Experience with real estate accounting software (JDE, MRI, Skyline, and/or Timberline) a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
