Job Summary:

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide high-quality administrative and human resource support services to the Country Office staff in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Operations Manager, including travel arrangements, vehicle management, and office supplies.
  • Assist with human resource management, including recruitment, contract extensions, and separation processes.
  • Support the preparation of materials and reports on common system activities, cost recovery, privileges, and immunities.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the office by efficiently managing and maintaining office supplies and services.
  • Assist with the maintenance of personnel files and support staff learning and development.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience with secondary level education.
  • Experience in human resource management, general admin, or general office management is required.
  • Ability to interpret administrative, finance, travel, and personnel rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, computerized accounting systems, and ERPs.
  • Fluency in English, Sinhala, or Tamil is required.
