Senior Building Operations Engineer\

The Senior Building Operations Engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of building systems, ensuring seamless operations and minimizing downtime. This highly skilled professional is responsible for overseeing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing or arranging for repairs of all building operating systems on site.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, as well as life safety, fire protection, and security systems.\
  • They must be able to conduct periodic general preventative maintenance, including normal lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, replacement of consumable parts, and periodic testing of equipment.\
  • Responsiveness to tenant requests in areas of safety, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and environmental needs through personal contact and work order systems is also essential.\
  • Preparation and maintenance of maintenance logs and records are necessary skills.\
  • Coordination of contractor, tenant, and management approvals for work orders requiring outside contractors is another key responsibility.\
  • The Senior Building Operations Engineer must ensure the safety of tenants and continuous operation of the site, be familiar with and conform to written operating procedures associated with the site, and assist in snow and ice clearing operations.\
  • Maintenance of organized building files is also required.\
  • Other duties may include performing assigned work to ensure the safety of building's tenants and continuous operation of the site.\
  • Assisting in snow and ice clearing operations, including coordination of plowing and salting activities by outside vendors.\

    • A high school diploma and minimum 10 years previous building operations engineering experience are required.\
    • CFC certification in high pressure discipline is also necessary.\
    • Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions is essential.\
    • Proficient computer and e-mail skills are required.\
    • Any necessary or required licenses must be held.\
    • Must have ability to complete required safety classes that pertain to specific job duties.\
