Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards for student affairs, thereby supporting the university's strategic success.
  • Act as a dedicated advocate for all students, maintaining an open-door policy in college-wide matters.
  • Facilitate collaboration between the Office of Student Affairs and other schools and colleges on campus.
  • Develop and implement enrollment and recruitment strategies, providing regular reports to academic leadership.
  • Oversee admissions, recruitment, and enrollment processes, ensuring seamless transitions for students.
  • Monitor student feedback on needed resources and support for academic progression.
  • Make recommendations to relevant parties regarding necessary resources and support.
  • Collaborate with the Dean for Academic Affairs to facilitate periodic meetings with class officers.
  • Organize and oversee co-curricular programs at the College.
  • Liaise with Student Health Services to ensure compliance with requirements and policies.
  • Collaborate with assessment teams to analyze student-related data.
  • Work closely with admission, recruitment, and retention committees, as well as financial aid and awards committees.
  • Update policies and processes to align with current practices and campus initiatives.
  • Provide oversight for COP Career Fair Days and events, aiming to increase participation by organizations.
  • Supervise and ensure compliance with the Office of Student Affairs annual report for the Dean.
  • Participate as an active member of the College's administrative leadership team.
  • Supervise and evaluate the activities and performance of support staff for OSA.
Requirements:
  • A graduate degree in a relevant field (PhD or EdD) is preferred; consideration may be given to candidates with a PharmD degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of administrative experience in higher education, specifically in health sciences.
  • Proven commitment to student success and ability to build strong relationships with students.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
  • Excellent organizational skills, adaptability, and time management abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Problem-solving, research, and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically.
  • Knowledge of FERPA, Title IX, and accreditation standards (e.g., ACPE).
