Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laboratory Specialist to join our R&D team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for preparing laboratory samples for product development and testing, as well as supporting the team in understanding sales area needs and transforming them into products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing laboratory samples of products in the development phase, conducting critical analysis of the process and parameters for method standardization and replication of future batch manufacturing.
  • Preparing laboratory samples for portfolio maintenance when raw material replacement is necessary, to meet product requirements.
  • Supporting the R&D team in understanding sales area needs and transforming them into products in development.
  • Assisting in sourcing new raw material suppliers for new development or product changes with the procurement team.

Additionally, you will perform physical-chemical tests on samples, raw materials, products in development, and competitor products for performance analysis, and upload reports to the system.

You will also participate in technical visits to customers and suppliers to study product application and verify requirements, and maintain and update work documentation such as manufacturing instructions and control plans.

Qualifications

  • Higher education in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (CRQ registration).
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
  • Fluent Portuguese.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet tools.
