Job Description:

We are seeking highly skilled Mortgage Loan Specialists to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring intricate knowledge of underwriting and selling guidelines, particularly those associated with the secondary market. Your key responsibilities will include assisting with pre-qualification underwriting and loan structuring, performing due diligence and underwriting once loans are under application, verifying and reviewing financial loan documents, assessing borrower(s) credit worthiness, processing and issuing all required disclosures, communicating changes in loan terms as necessary, preparing recommendations for credit review committee or loan originators, reviewing loan documents for completeness, assembling loan documents in loan file, including acceptance or denial and returns file to origination mortgage loan office, notifying all required personnel of disposition of underwriting results, performing credit analysis and approving mortgage loans within established lending authority, maintaining knowledge of FHA, VA, and USDA lending guidelines, and performing administrative compliance reviews of subject property appraisals for completeness, accuracy, adequacy and validity in accordance with financial institution policy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Assists with pre-qualification underwriting and loan structuring.
  • Performs due diligence and underwriting once loans are under application.
  • Verifies and reviews financial loan documents.
  • Assesses borrower(s) credit worthiness.
  • Processes and issues all required disclosures.
  • Communicates changes in loan terms as necessary.
