Job Title:

We are seeking a Tax Planning Strategist to join our team.

  • This role is responsible for developing and implementing the company's overall tax planning strategy to optimize tax efficiency and minimize tax liabilities.
  • The ideal candidate will conduct thorough analysis of operations, transactions, and financial data to identify opportunities for tax savings and planning.
  • The Tax Planning Strategist will stay up-to-date on the latest changes in tax laws, regulations, and incentives, and evaluate their impact on the business.
  • Closely collaborate with accounting, finance, and legal teams to align tax planning with broader business objectives.
  • Prepare detailed tax planning recommendations and proposals, presenting them to senior leadership for approval.
  • Coordinate the implementation of approved tax planning strategies, ensuring proper documentation and execution.
  • Maintain constant communication with leadership and impacted areas to ensure engagement and alignment.
Key Responsibilities:

This role involves overseeing all tax-related decisions and activities in the organization. The purpose of the role is to act as a business partner to Finance teams to establish best-in-class accounting processes.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Finance or Accounting plus Specialization in Tax are required.
  • Fluent English are required. Spanish is a plus.
  • Tax experience in a multinational environment, with a background in Big 4 / Top law firm / major corporation experience.
  • In-house experience is a plus with a significant amount of time providing technical guidance in commercial companies.
  • Excellent analytical skills to not only build dashboards from unstructured data but also to extract insights helpful for the team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with clear logical thinking.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented working with identifying, defining, and scoping challenges and opportunities.
  • Project management expertise, including strong organizational and change management skills.
